Ryan & Rowena

A friend of mine, Ryan, is getting married end of this year, I thought of doing a couple portrait shoot for him and his wife in Singapore. I chose Qlarke Quay and Siloso Beach, as these two places have interesting backgrounds and lovely feel. This is the first time I do couple shoot and it was a challenging day for me.

A beautiful Sunday morning, I did a portrait shoot for my sister in my hometown Penang, we walked along a few renowned landmarks and historical sites to get different feels of the backgrounds. It was a memorable shoot as we really enjoyed the shooting process.

Issac is so fond of the ferris wheel his father newly bought him, a few shots of him with his new toy are pretty lovely.

He loves it.

He plays it.

He can't live without it.

Thanks Daddy for buying me the new toy!

Walking to the past: Chinatown Heritage Centre

Centuries ago, Chinese immigrants flocked to Singapore from Fujian province of China amid wars, corruptions and social unrest at their homeland. Chinatown was initiated when Stamford Raffles, the founder of Singapore made a plan to group these people for work and housing. Today, Chinatown has turned into a diverse tourist spot with a blend of Chinese tradition and modern culture. Exploring its Heritage Centre gives me a glimpse of the immigrants harsh poverty lives.

During my Japan Autumn trip in 2010, some interesting encounters along the railway journeys prompts me to take a few shots.
A man unboards the train.

Waiting crowd.

Captain on task.

Train crossing busy road.

Japan Railway West.

Operation room that looks old.

Tofuji, a temple nearby the train station.

A woman readies for boarding.

Himi train station. Himi is a tranquil fishing village.

On the train leaving Himi, we passed by an ocean with breathtaking view.

A captain smiles at me, enlightening my day.

Bubbles

It was a sunny Saturday afternoon when I was having bbq lunch with my hubby friends. The kids started blowing bubbles while waiting for the food, after some fun plays in the pool. The colourful bubbles brightened up the day, even the adults got thrilled playing it.

A fun morning taking portraits of a close friend of mine, the beautiful flare of the morning coupled with sweet look of her made a few great shots. Thanks Sandy for being my model.
